This practical workshop follows on from the Practical Guide to Customs Procedures and is aimed at delegates with some international trade knowledge. Among aims of the course is to guide you to a higher standard of compliance with import and export legislation so you can face customs audits with confidence. Key areas include customs valuation, tariff classification, special procedures and origin rules. It looks at where these regulations originate whether from the WTO, RKC or WCO and how they work within the UK. We will also be looking at future changes so you can review if and how they affect your company’s international trade activities. All areas have been updated in light of the UK vote to leave the EU and the introduction of the Union Customs Code (UCC) on 1 May 2016.
Benefits of attending: Delegates will see a benefit in attending this interactive presentation on returning to their working environment as the aim is to, not only, enhance the understanding of the issues but also to instil confidence when talking to freight companies, HMRC and help when organisation customs shipments in other countries.
